Job summary

CHEP in Georgia is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Manager to lead a skilled maintenance team and drive preventative maintenance across its semi-automated pallet operations in Pendergrass, GA.

You will manage safety, budgets, CAPEX, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure reliable production and optimized asset performance. This role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of people management experience in engineering or industrial maintenance.
• 5+ years hands-on electro-mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
• HNC Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a robust preventive maintenance program to reduce downtime and improve plant efficiency.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, enforcing Zero Harm policies and conducting safety checks.
• Implement process reliability systems and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage procurement, inventory and budget control of spare parts and consumables.
• Lead CAPEX projects for equipment upgrades and plant improvements, on time and within budget.
• Monitor utilities usage and identify opportunities to reduce operating costs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and asset management across the plant.
• Lead, mentor and develop maintenance team with staffing, training and performance management.
