Job summary

Austin Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled insulation technician to apply, remove, and repair insulation on various surfaces such as ducts, pipes, tanks and boilers, to help control noise and temperature.

The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman experience and legal work authorization in the U.S. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring and cutting insulation, and securely attaching insulation with adhesives, covers or tape, while adhering to safety and height requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Journeyman level insulation experience required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience reading blueprints and selecting insulation materials.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and select insulation material.
• Apply, repair, and secure insulation on surfaces and equipment.
• Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials to specified sizes.
• Wrap and seal insulation with covers and tape as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
