Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking an Insulator to apply, remove, and repair insulation on surfaces and structures across our industrial projects in the United States. You will read blueprints, select materials, and install insulation on tanks, pipes, boilers and buildings to help control temperatures and noise.

This role requires working at heights and adhering to safety standards. Qualifications include 3-5 years of journeyman experience, NCCER/TWIC and a valid Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years journeyman level experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and select insulation material.
• Physical ability to work at heights.
• NCCER, TWIC and Driver’s License are required.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects required insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive application to insulation material.
• Determine amounts and selects required insulation material (sheet, tubular, or roll).
• Measure and cut insulation material to size and shape.
• Fit, wrap or attach insulation to structure following blueprints.
