Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking an Insulator - Metal Man to apply, repair, and manage insulation on structures such as air ducts, pipes, tanks and boilers. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, measure and cut insulation material and install it per specifications while maintaining strict safety standards.

Applicants must have NCCER, a valid driver’s license and TWIC, with 4 years of scaffolding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• No formal education minimum.
• 4 years of scaffolding experience preferred.
• NCCER certification, valid driver’s license and TWIC card required.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprints and selects insulation material.
• Work at heights with no fear.
• Apply adhesives and fasten insulation materials as specified.
• Measure, cut and fit insulation to surfaces per blueprint specifications.
• Secure insulation with covers, tape or sealant as required.
• Follow safety procedures and work with PPE.
