Job summary

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) to maintain and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial environments. You will troubleshoot, install, test, and ensure safe operation per specifications and codes.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, and collaborating with engineering teams. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years in HVAC, with universal CFC certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC service & maintenance.
• Universal CFC certification for refrigerant handling (required).
• EPA Section 608 certification preferred.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine HVAC maintenance and repairs on HVAC/refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to diagnose and resolve malfunctions.
• Assist in installation and startup of equipment ensuring code compliance.
