Job summary

Air Force Global Strike Command is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to plan, install, repair, and maintain large HVAC/R systems at Francis E. Warren AFB. You will troubleshoot complex boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment, interpret blueprints, and perform preventive maintenance in a demanding environment.

The role requires knowledge of electrical safety, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work from ladders and confined spaces. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including boilers, chillers, and air handling equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and testing equipment.
• Skill in dismantling, repairing, and reassembling pumps, compressors, and related components.
• Ability to work from ladders and in confined spaces; physical stamina.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work from blueprints, sketches, drawings, specifications, guides, codes, and work orders.
• Troubleshoot HVAC/R systems with complex problems and extensive repairs.
• Install, repair, and maintain large industrial ventilation, refrigeration, and cooling systems.
• Perform associated electrical work and preventive maintenance on HVAC/R equipment.
• Train/guide junior technicians as needed.
