Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service seeks skilled HVAC/R technicians to install, maintain, repair, and modify complex heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and boiler systems. You’ll plan work from drawings, troubleshoot components, overhaul systems, and perform incidental electrical work with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications require journey-level mechanical trade expertise, knowledge of HVAC/R principles and refrigerants, and ability to interpret

Qualifications

• The role requires journey-level mechanical trade expertise and knowledge of HVAC/R principles, refrigerants, boilers, industrial refrigeration systems, electrical testing equipment, and safety and documentation procedures.
• Candidates must be able to interpret technical drawings, troubleshoot complex systems, repair and reassemble mechanical components, use hand and power tools, and hold U.S. citizenship and a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and modify complex HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and boiler systems, including their controls and distribution equipment.
• Plan work from technical drawings, troubleshoot and overhaul system components,
• Perform incidental electrical work and preventive maintenance, and follow environmental and workplace safety requirements.
