Job summary

IES in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Field Service Technician (Industrial) to join our Field Service / Maintenance team. You will provide on-site support, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting for a range of industrial equipment, ensuring reliability and uptime for our client facilities.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience with pumps, motors, HVAC, PLCs, and diagnostic tools, and can work independently across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in industrial maintenance preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role.
• Experience with motors, pumps, HVAC, hydraulic systems, and PLCs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• On-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues using diagnostic tools.
• Install new machinery or equipment per client specifications and calibrate as needed.
• Complete accurate service reports and track parts and equipment condition.
