Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support industrial equipment at customer sites in Addison, IL. You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair specialized equipment while also developing back-end SOPs and digital records for a growing service department.

You will train customer personnel, read schematics, and communicate service opportunities. Expect 70% travel domestically with some international trips; strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance or field service on industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• BS/AS or technical certifications in electronics or engineering preferred.
• Strong communication; able to discuss service opportunities with clients.
• Willing to travel about 70% domestically and occasional international trips.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Diagnose and fix issues across electrical, controls, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Provide hands-on training to customer personnel.
• Maintain strong customer relationships as primary contact for service needs.
• Identify upsell opportunities like service agreements and preventive maintenance.
• Relay field observations to internal teams for product improvements.
• Assist with in-house assembly and testing during non-travel periods.
