Job summary

The Recruiting Hive in Addison, IL is seeking a technically skilled Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, and repair custom industrial equipment at customer sites. You will also work back at the facility writing SOPs, digitizing records, updating manuals, and shaping a growing service department.

This role requires 2+ years in field service or maintenance, travel 3-4 days a week (70% domestic), and the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on maintenance or field service experience on equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic meters.
• BS/AS or technical certifications in electronics/engineering preferred.
• Strong communication for customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, commission, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair equipment.
• Provide hands-on training covering operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Serve as primary contact for ongoing service needs and build customer relationships.
• Relay field observations to internal teams to improve products and services.
• Assist with in-house assembly and testing during non-travel periods.
