Job summary

Cogent Analytics’ client is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative to drive on-site sales and gear inspections in the southeastern US, with heavy travel and a focus on building lasting customer relationships.

You will develop technical knowledge to communicate gear solutions, submit quotes and RFQs, and manage records while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A base salary of $55k-$65k plus uncapped commissions and a company vehicle are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or experience acceptable.
• Two years servicing or calling on paper industry clients.
• Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a safe driving record and be able to travel in the southeastern US.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-site sales and gear inspections to learn products and territory.
• Develop technical knowledge to communicate products and services to customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and understand needs.
• Maintain consistent contact with existing customers and make cold calls to prospects.
• Create, submit and follow up on quotes and RFQs.
• Document and track progress for new and existing opportunities; rate potential.
