Job summary

SSOE Group, a leading engineering design firm, seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support our Industrial Facilities Design team on battery/complex projects. The role can be based out of various SSOE offices across the US, including Phoenix, Austin/Houston, Toledo/Lima/Columbus (OH), Hillsboro (OR), Nashville, Atlanta and more.

You'll assist senior project managers with day-to-day tasks, prepare plans and budgets, and manage small projects under supervision.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Associate degree in engineering field.
CAPM certification encouraged.
1–3 years related experience; travel required; valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
Manage small and/or low-complexity projects under supervision.
Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
Follow established procedures to administer project (cost estimating, docs control, etc.).
Communicate client requirements to each discipline.
Participate in client contact and business development activities.
Assist in preparing proposals including leading low-complexity proposals.
Assist in collecting past due accounts.
May assist in training other Assistant Project Managers.
May attend client meetings to take minutes and prepare for distribution.
Assist in logging RFI, submittals, filing and weekly project reports.
Assist in coordinating meetings and document flow with client, contractors, regulators and others.
May travel to other SSOE offices or client locations for coordination or training.
Coordinate printing and distribution of construction documents for bids.
Coordinate completion and distribution of as-recorded drawings and closeout documents.
Occasional travel may be required.
