Job summary

SSOE Group seeks an Assistant Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team, supporting Facilities Battery/Complex Projects Operation. This role can be based out of a number of SSOE offices in the US; including Phoenix, Austin/Houston, Toledo/Lima/Columbus (OH), Hillsboro (OR), Nashville, Atlanta and many other areas.

Responsibilities include assisting Sr. Project Managers with plans, budgets and schedules, managing small projects, client communications, and coordinating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an Associate degree in engineering is preferred.
• CAPM certification is encouraged.
• Minimum one year as Engineer 1 or three years related experience.
• Travel required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CADD.
• Valid driver's license (may be waived for international assignments).

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules and budgets.
• Assist in preparing project plans and budgets and control procedures.
• Manage small or low-complexity projects under supervision.
• Audit client billings for Project Manager approval.
• Serve as primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
• Follow procedures for construction cost estimating, correspondence and document control.
• Communicate client requirements to each discipline and participate in client meetings.
• Assist in logging RFIs, submittals, filing and weekly project reports.
• Coordinate meetings and document flows with clients, contractors and regulators.
• May travel to other offices or client locations for coordination or training.
