Job summary

SSOE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team. The role supports battery/complex projects and PM activities across multiple office locations including Toledo, Columbus, Phoenix, Austin, Nashville and more.

You will assist senior managers with day-to-day tasks, help prepare plans, budgets and schedules, coordinate meetings and document control, and travel as needed to client sites. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Engineering qualifies for licensure; Associate degree in engineering preferred.
CAPM Certification is encouraged.
Minimum one year as an Engineer 1 or three years related experience.
Travel required.
Good facilitator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CAD.
Valid driver's license required; waiver possible for international assignments.

Responsibilities

Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing to fee, work plans, schedules, budgets, etc.
Assist in preparing project plans, budgets, control procedures, etc.
Manage small and/or low-complexity projects under supervision.
Audits client billings for Project Manager approval.
May be the primary communication link between project teams, consultants and outsourcing partners.
Follows established procedures to administer project, including cost estimating, correspondence, and document controls.
Participates in client meetings and prepares minutes for distribution.
Assist in coordinating meetings and document control with client, contractors and regulators.
May travel to other SSOE offices or client locations for coordination or training.
