Job summary

SSOE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Industrial Facilities Design team on Battery/Complex Projects. The role can be based in Phoenix, Austin/Houston, Toledo/Lima/Columbus (OH), Hillsboro, Nashville, Atlanta, and more; travel may be required.

The candidate will assist in planning, budgeting, and coordinating project tasks, with a focus on effective communication and client liaison. A Bachelor in Engineering or related field is required, with CAPM encouraged.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor Degree in Engineering licensure or equivalent; Associate degree acceptable.
• CAPM certification encouraged.
• 1 year experience as an Engineer I or 3 years related experience required.
• Travel is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sr. Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks, staffing, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare project plans, budgets, and control procedures.
• Manage small and low-complexity projects under supervision.
• Attend client meetings and record minutes for distribution.
• Coordinate meetings and document control with clients, contractors, and regulators.
• Travel to other offices or client locations as needed.
