Job summary

Schutz-Container-Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations in Pasadena, TX.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on complex machinery, read schematics, and ensure equipment reliability and product quality. The role requires PLC knowledge, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, welding, and strict adherence to safety protocols, including LOTO.

Qualifications

• Can comprehend procedures written in English.
• PLC knowledge required.
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Power tool knowledge; Machine shop knowledge; Welding (Stick, MIG, TIG).
• OSHA training classes, safety training.
• Sound problem solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge and compliance to plant and industry safety/quality protocols including PPE, SDS, Lock-out/Tag-out.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Interact with production, QA and maintenance personnel to improve plant output, efficiency, quality and safety.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Assist with equipment changes to accommodate production needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance to prevent equipment failure.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and implement changes on all plant equipment.
• Record, document and report maintenance data.
