Job summary

Triple-S Steel in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform equipment and building maintenance, diagnose issues from work orders, and ensure safe, efficient operations across indoor and outdoor environments.

The role requires reading diagrams, using hand and power tools, and following OSHA standards. Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is preferred; a high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders and communicate in English to determine needs.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Demonstrate basic welding skills.
• Maintain productivity and work independently or in a team.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• At least five years in a mechanically skilled role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and specs to diagnose maintenance needs for machines.
• Lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds and work from ladders up to 40 feet with fall protection.
• Dismantle and reassemble machines for repair; observe operation to detect issues.
• Inspect damaged parts and report repair needs.
• Lubricate parts and replace machine components per specs.
• Record maintenance information and collaborate with others.
• Maintain facilities and operate tools safely.
• Work indoors/outdoors in various weather; follow OSHA requirements.
