Equipment Depot, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and equipment. You will read work orders, diagnose problems, and perform repairs after inspection.

You will document all repair details, communicate with customers about service needs, ensure safety devices are functioning, and verify repairs by test-driving the equipment. A GED and a valid driver's license are required.

Formación

• Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Experience: One to Three months related experience and/or training – and/or combination of education and experience.
• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have knowledge of internet software.
• Certificates & Licenses: Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
• Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Math: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsabilidades

• Read work order and observe and listen to truck to diagnose malfunction
• Provide solutions and estimates when appropriate
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis
• Record repair descriptions, model, serial number, and hour meter readings
• Communicate with customers on repair needs and completed work
• Inspect safety guards and other devices and adjust as needed
• Lubricate moving parts and test drive repaired trucks
• Maintain professional image of self and van
• Coordinate with service manager on routine maintenance
• Submit time cards daily and return paperwork timely
