Job summary

Equipment Depot, Inc. seeks an automotive/equipment technician to repair electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment.

You will diagnose issues by reviewing work orders and listening to the equipment in operation, then perform required repairs and document service details for each job. The role requires a valid driver’s license and basic computer skills, with attention to safety and professionalism while representing the company to customers.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduation or GED.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of internet software.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Language: Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals; write routine reports; speak effectively.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and observe truck operation to diagnose malfunctions.
• Provide solutions and estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis of breakdowns.
• Record complete repair descriptions including model, serial number, and hour meter readings.
• Obtain customer signatures and communicate repair needs and completion.
• Inspect safety devices, adjust as needed, and verify repairs by driving the unit.
