Job summary

Equipment Depot Inc. seeks a skilled field service technician to repair and maintain electric, diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks and construction equipment at customer sites and in our shop.

You will read work orders, diagnose malfunctions, propose repair solutions with accurate estimates, perform repairs after inspection, and record all details on the work order with serial numbers and hours. Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED completed.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Computer Skills: knowledge of internet software.
• Certificates & Licenses: valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Language: ability to read and interpret documents; write reports; speak effectively.
• Math: ability to perform basic arithmetic and percent calculations.
• Reasoning: able to follow written or diagrammatic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and diagnose malfunctions by observing equipment in operation.
• Offer repair solutions and provide estimates when appropriate.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis of breakdowns.
• Record complete repair descriptions with model, serial number, and hours.
• Obtain customer signatures and communicate repair needs to customers.
• Inspect guards, bolts, and safety devices; make necessary adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and verify repairs by testing the equipment.
• Drive the service van and represent Equipment Depot to customers.
• Submit paperwork and time cards daily; maintain professional appearance.
