Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking a Field Engineer to oversee project controls across multiple disciplines on travel-based assignments in the U.S. The role involves direct support to site craft teams, quantity tracking, scheduling, contract administration, and comprehensive project reporting.

The position requires coordination with clients, engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project management to communicate status and ensure quality outcomes.

Overview

The Field Engineer will oversee and execute the project controls and management of a multiple disciplines. The main functions of the Field Engineer will include (but not limited to) responsibility for a specific area of the project such as direct support to a Craft Superintendent, quantity collection, scheduling, contract administration, project planning and scheduling, procurement, and project reporting.

The Field Engineer role requires interfacing with all areas affected by the project including the client(s), engineering/design, subcontractors, distributors, vendors, and the ongoing strategic communication with project management regarding the status of the project.

Location & Travel Details

You can be based in any city or state in the U.S.. This is a traveling, project based position, up to 100% of the time. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US.You’ll spend 8-18 months on average per project. We offer designated per diem in addition to an excellent base salary to support and help you cover living expenses. This position is eligible for mobilization support (may include mileage reimbursement), and includes one longer weekend every four weeks for additional time at home.
