Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors factories in Tucson, AZ, to maximize throughput, improve efficiency and deliver value to the customer. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.

You will perform labor analyses, line balancing, capacity planning, and value stream mapping, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives and new product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree
• Industrial Engineering degree or similar discipline
• Experience applying Lean, capacity modeling, facility design, or process optimization
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start date
• Ability to obtain ATF clearance

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows and value-stream maps to visualize production processes and KPIs
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and cost, quality, and on-time delivery
• Draft infrastructure improvements and expansion plans for new products and equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address obsolescence and improve performance
• Support new production proposals and product integration
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics
