Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors portfolio of factories in Tucson, Arizona, driving throughput, efficiency, and value for our customers. You will analyze labor performance, map value streams, balance lines, and plan capacity while shaping future factory roadmaps and product integration.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial/Systems/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience using Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design, or Process Optimization.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret security clearance before start date.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value streams, Pareto charts, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma to improve efficiency and meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
• Draft roadmaps for infrastructure improvements and new product integration.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address obsolescence and growth.
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and ergonomics.
