Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors factory network in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on maximizing throughput, improving efficiency, and delivering value through labor analyses, line balancing, and capacity planning.

The position requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of experience and the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance. Candidates will work with cross-functional teams to drive Lean initiatives and implement production improvements in an onsite environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial/Systems/Manufacturing engineering.
• Lean Manufacturing, Capacity Modeling, Facility Design or Process Optimization experience.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance prior to start date; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve cost, quality and on-time delivery.
• Draft infrastructure improvements and plan integration of new products/technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects addressing obsolescence and growth.
• Support production contracts and new product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
