Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Tucson, Arizona factories, aiming to maximize throughput and improve efficiency. You will perform labor analyses, value stream mapping, line balancing, and capacity planning as part of continuous improvement initiatives.

The role involves cross-functional teamwork, project management, and safety/ergonomics enhancements, with a pathway to influence factory roadmaps and investments. Security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Industrial/Systems/Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2 years of relevant industrial engineering experience or an applicable Master’s degree.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, capacity modeling, facility design, or process optimization.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government clearance before start date.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean to reduce undesirable effects and improve efficiency, cost, quality and on-time delivery.
• Draft infrastructure improvement/expansion proposals and plan new product integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on obsolescence, performance, and growth projects.
• Support new production contracts and production integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
