Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support the Effectors portfolio in Tucson, Arizona to maximize throughput, improve efficiency, and deliver increasing value to the customer. Industrial Engineers are responsible for labor analyses, value stream mapping, line balancing, capacity planning, factory layouts, simulations, project management, and continuous improvement.

The role requires a STEM Bachelor’s and 2+ years of experience, plus the ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience unless limited by local rules.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• Experience with Lean, capacity modeling, facility design, or process optimization.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Model factory operations with process flows, value stream maps, and CAD drawings.
• Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
• Apply Six Sigma and Lean principles to improve efficiency and delivery goals.
• Draft infrastructure improvement plans and plan integration of new products/tech.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to address obsolescence and promote growth.
• Support new production contracts and product integration efforts.
• Improve factory safety and work cell ergonomics.
