Job summary

Cart.com is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize the fulfillment network. You will analyze labor, cost per unit, and workflow efficiency while supporting Lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration with operations, finance, and facilities.

Based at Groveport, OH, you’ll lead time studies, develop labor standards, and contribute to capacity planning and the evaluation of new partners. This role emphasizes data-driven decision making and scalable process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in industrial engineering, supply chain, warehouse operations, or continuous improvement environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain analytical models to support forecasting, staffing, Capex justifications, and improvements.
• Develop SQL queries and Python scripts to surface insights from WMS, WCS, and ERP data.
• Perform post-launch studies to compare model accuracy vs. actuals and refine predictive tools.
• Develop summaries and reports on partner profitability, network performance, and ROI for projects.
• Assist multi-site or network-level IE projects coordinating scope, schedule, and budget.
• Redesign layouts, storage configurations, workflow, and dock utilization for efficiency.
• Conduct space planning analyses to maximize throughput and minimize travel.
• Design slotting strategies and SKU profiling to reduce handling costs.
• Lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Establish labor standards via time studies and work measurement.
• Collaborate across operations, finance, facilities and IT on optimization.
