Job summary

Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading Healthcare organization to identify an Industrial Engineer for an opportunity in Forest City, IA.

You will analyze DC performance, design processes, develop staffing models, and coordinate improvements across the distribution network. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, experience with warehouse systems, SAP preferred, and strong problem‑solving and PM skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with general process design and Distribution Center operations.
• Experience working with computer systems and warehouse management systems.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Logistics management experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement mindset preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Recent graduates with relevant engineering education and technical skills may be considered.

• Identify, quantify, and communicate process improvement opportunities across the distribution network.
• Coordinate and manage implementation of operational improvements.
• Establish, document, and maintain best practices across the distribution network.
• Establish and maintain engineered labor standards based on distribution best practices.
• Support performance incentive programs based on engineered labor standards.
• Provide functional support for Warehouse Management Systems, including Labor Management, Slotting, and Reporting.
• Assist Distribution Center personnel in resolving system and operational issues.
• Build staffing planning models to support Distribution Center and network planning.
• Bring cross-functional teams together to collaborate on projects and achieve milestones.
• Provide recommendations and performance insights to Distribution Center management teams.
• Support warehouse system updates and help improve processes through data, technology, and continuous improvement.
