Job summary

Ramboll is hiring a senior Engineering Business Development Professional for the Industrial, Energy & Infrastructure sectors, based in the Carolinas. Qualifications

• Five or more years of client-facing responsibility, which may include sales, business development, project management, engineering support or consulting.
• Direct experience in one or more growth areas: energy intensive industrial manufacturing, data center development or the power infrastructure behind it, specialty chemicals, metals, aerospace thermal processing, or pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and comfort working a CRM discipline of qualified opportunities, current close dates and recorded next steps.

Responsibilities

• Develop key accounts and markets in Ramboll's target industries across the Carolinas, emphasizing energy intensive industries, data centers and power infrastructure.
• Own the Carolinas pipeline end to end: qualify leads, decide go/no-go, act as Tender Manager on pursuits, and maintain opportunity records in Dynamics 365.
• Support and grow existing accounts in the territory with potential over $100M and build relationships that turn projects into programs of work.
• Develop relationships with local market groups, suppliers, contractors and economic development bodies across the Charlotte, Greenville, Research Triangle and Upstate corridors.
• Collaborate with Ramboll Environment & Health office and Power Systems, Site Solutions and Air & Climate teams to cross-sell across service lines.
• Advise clients on engineering and technology solutions that satisfy objectives and communicate with executives, engineers and other professionals.
• Prepare proposals and work scopes with budgets and cost estimates, maintaining client relationships and exercising tact and judgment.
• Contribute to securing business of $15M of internal authorizations per year from diverse client organizations.
