Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Engineering Business Development Professional for the Industrial, Energy & Infrastructure sector to secure and develop projects across the Carolinas. You will drive the end-to-end pipeline, lead tender processes, and expand relationships with manufacturers, energy developers and data center operators.

The role blends business development with project exposure, supporting delivery while maintaining strong client engagement and strategic growth in a high-potential market.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or science (mechanical, chemical, electrical or metallurgical preferred).
• Five+ years in a client-facing role (sales, BD, PM, engineering support or consulting).
• Established professional network in NC/SC and willingness to relocate to Charlotte or Greenville.
• Direct experience in energy-intensive industrial manufacturing, data centers or power infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develop key accounts and markets in Ramboll's target industries across the Carolinas.
• Own the Carolinas pipeline end to end: qualify leads, decide go/no-go, act as Tender Manager, maintain records in Dynamics 365.
• Grow existing accounts with combined potential over $100M and build long-term programs of work.
• Build relationships with market groups, suppliers, contractors and economic development bodies across the corridor.
• Advise clients on engineering and technology solutions and prepare proposals reflecting client needs.
