Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation in the US Southeast seeks an Engineering Business Development Professional to secure and develop engineering projects across the Carolinas, with emphasis on energy-intensive industries and data centers. You will build relationships with clients, lead opportunities in Dynamics 365, and align cross-disciplinary Ramboll teams to deliver value.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or science; mechanical, chemical, electrical or metallurgical preferred.
• Five+ years of client-facing responsibility in sales, BD, PM, engineering support or consulting.
• Established professional network in NC/SC; willing to relocate to Charlotte/Greenville area.
• Direct experience in energy-intensive industrial manufacturing, data center development or power infrastructure.
• Ability to discuss with plant engineers, contribute to scope of work, and carry part of a billable load.
• Strong written and verbal communication; CRM opportunities, current close dates, next steps management.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop key accounts and markets in Ramboll's target industries across the Carolinas; focus on energy-intensive sectors.
• Own the Carolinas pipeline end to end: qualify leads, lead go/no-go decisions, and manage opportunities in Dynamics 365.
• Support and grow existing accounts with potential over $100M and build long-term programs of work.
• Develop relationships with market groups, suppliers, contractors and economic development bodies.
• Cross-sell across Ramboll service lines with Environment & Health, Power Systems, Site Solutions and Air & Climate teams.
• Prepare proposals and work scopes with budgets and cost estimates; manage client relationships.
• Contribute to securing about $15M of internal authorizations per year through market positioning and client development.
