Job summary

Enviva in Florida seeks an Electrical Technician to support production, troubleshoot electrical controls, and perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.

You'll work on PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, and instrumentation, ensuring safe and efficient operation while complying with OSHA and Enviva standards. Strong problem-solving and teamwork are essential; high safety expectations are part of daily work.

Qualifications

• At least two years manufacturing experience.
• Four years of electrical experience.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for troubleshooting and replacement.
• Able to read electrical drawings and apply codes.
• Interpret sketches, blueprints, and work orders.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on heavy equipment per OSHA and Enviva standards.
• Maintain safety practices and compliance with codes.
• Troubleshoot PLC devices, MCCs, VFDs, and instrumentation using meters.
• Wire and repair AC/DC circuits and 480V/4160V distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot D-Net, E-Net, and fiber optic systems.
• Identify corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical systems, drives, and instrumentation.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated; report abnormalities.
• Monitor process parameters and adjust for safe, efficient operation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
