Job summary

Enviva's Electrical Technician role supports production by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, controls, and some mechanical systems on assigned shifts. You will analyze data to improve safety, uptime, energy use, and process efficiency while following OSHA and Enviva standards.

The job requires hands-on work with PLCs, motor control centers, VFDs, and field wiring, plus strong problem-solving, communication, and adherence to safety practices in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
4 years electrical experience.
Proficient with hand and power tools for wiring and equipment work.
Basic computer knowledge.
Ability to interpret codes, schematics, and work orders.
Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and inspections of heavy equipment per OSHA and Enviva standards.
Troubleshoot PLC controlled devices, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation using meters.
Wire, repair, and replace wiring and electrical components up to 4160V.
Troubleshoot D-Net, E-Net, and fiber optic communications.
Identify actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
Ensure calibration and safe operation before use.
Monitor process parameters and adjust for safe performance.
Execute additional duties as assigned.
