Job summary

Enviva in Wilmington, NC, seeks an Electrical Technician to support production, troubleshoot PLCs, and perform maintenance on port facilities equipment. The role emphasizes safety, uptime, energy efficiency, and process optimization on assigned shifts.

You will inspect and repair electrical systems, read schematics, and work with operations to improve equipment reliability. This on-site position requires physical stamina and teamwork at our Wilmington facility.

Qualifications

Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
Four years of electrical experience.
Proficiency with hand/power tools for troubleshooting and repair.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Ability to read regulation codes, sketches, blueprints, and work orders.
Strong communication, analytical, and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform installation, maintenance, and electrical field work on heavy equipment per OSHA and Enviva standards.
Maintain adherence to safety practices and electrical codes.
Troubleshoot PLC controlled devices and associated equipment using drawings and meters.
Wire and repair AC/DC circuits and distribution equipment up to 480V/4160V.
Troubleshoot communication and IT technologies (D-Net, E-Net, Fiber Optic).
Identify corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
Conduct preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and instrumentation.
Monitor operating parameters and adjust for safe, efficient performance.
