Job summary

Enviva is seeking an Electrical Technician to support production, troubleshoot electrical, controls, and some mechanical aspects of port facilities equipment. You will analyze production data and drive improvements in safety, uptime, quality, and energy use across assigned shifts.

The role requires hands-on electrical field work, familiarity with PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and safety compliance, with opportunity to contribute to reliability improvements in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of manufacturing experience minimum.
• Four years of electrical experience required.
• Proficient with hand and power tools for wiring and repairs.
• Basic computer knowledge and data interpretation.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC controlled devices and motor control centers.
• Work with 480V and 4160V distribution equipment and sensors.
• Ensure safety practices and regulatory compliance are followed.
• Analyze production data to improve uptime, efficiency and energy use.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on controls and instrumentation.
