Job summary

Enviva LP is seeking an Electrical Technician to support production by troubleshooting and repairing electrical, controls, and some mechanical components of our facilities equipment. You will analyze data to improve safety, uptime, energy use and efficiency on assigned shifts.

Responsibilities include wiring, inspecting heavy equipment, adhering to OSHA standards, and troubleshooting PLC-based systems, MCCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years manufacturing experience.
• Four (4) years of electrical experience.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to read and apply electrical codes and drawings.
• Ability to read sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, electrical field work and inspections of heavy equipment.
• Adhere to safety practices and applicable codes.
• Troubleshoot PLC controlled devices, MCCs, VFDs and instrumentation.
• Wire, troubleshoot and repair AC/DC circuits and distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot communication and IT technologies (D-Net, E-Net, Fiber Optic).
• Identify actions to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Conduct preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
• Monitor production parameters and adjust for safe, efficient operation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
