Job summary

Amteck, a national Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, is hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians for its Service division. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments, ensuring NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA compliance.

You will service power distribution equipment, motors and controls, perform infrared thermography, visuals inspections and maintain thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
• Ability to interpret arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E/70B safety rules and regulations.
• Strong reporting, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify heat signatures and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring and connections for wear or damage.
• Service electrical equipment to ensure performance and longevity.
• Test power distribution, control equipment and motors for proper function.
• Assess conditions to identify maintenance risks and improvements.
• Apply LOTO, arc-flash awareness and safety procedures.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
• Document inspections, test results, actions, and recommendations.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors and team members about work.
• Enforce company safety program and site safety requirements.
