Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician for its Service division. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards to maintain uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include infrared thermography, inspections, lubrication, testing, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

Ideally 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies to industry standards.
Proficient with electrical testing tools and diagnostic instruments.
Familiarity with arc-flash safety concepts and procedures.
Knowledge of NEC rules and OSHA/NFPA 70E regulations with emphasis on safety.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing in accordance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and potential faults.
Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment to ensure proper performance.
Test power distribution systems, controls, and motors for proper operation.
Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks to identify improvements.
Apply LOTO, arc-flash awareness, and review arc-flash studies.
