Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and involves developing maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a Journeyman electrical license with 5+ years of industrial experience, and strong PLC knowledge.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman license with 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
• PLC experience, preferably Allen Bradley (SLC 500, RSLogix 5/500/5000, PLC5, ControlLogix, Micrologix, PanelView).
• Strong electrical knowledge (circuit breakers, fixtures).
• Demonstrated fault-finding experience.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Good communication skills to explain complex electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems for all manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions using electronic/PLC techniques.
• Perform routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment/parts.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules from equipment manuals.
• Install or assist with new equipment layouts and alignment.
• Ensure timely maintenance checks and inspections.
