Job summary
BlueScope Coated Products Middletown is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a full-time, on-site role on 2-2-3 day shifts. The technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support installation of new equipment to maximize reliability.
Qualified applicants have a Journeyman license with 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance and PLC experience (Allen-Bradley).
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED.
- Journeyman electrician with 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
- PLC experience including Allen-Bradley platforms (SLC 500, RSLogix 5/500/5000, PLC5, ControlLogix, Micrologix).
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics; strong troubleshooting skills.
- Physical demand: climb, lift up to 75 lbs, and operate in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Study manuals and develop preventive maintenance schedules.
- Install or assist in installation of new equipment with proper layout and alignment.
- Identify improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and enhance safety.
