Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products, LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment across manufacturing lines. You will perform preventive maintenance, install new equipment, and drive improvements to safety, quality, and productivity.

The role requires strong PLC knowledge (Allen-Bradley), blueprints literacy, and the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts in a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Journeyman licensed with 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance
• PLC experience with Allen-Bradley systems
• Strong electrical knowledge and fault-finding abilities
• Proficient reading blueprints/schematics
• Good communication and physical stamina

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical control systems for manufacturing equipment
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment
• Study manuals to develop audit items and preventive maintenance schedules
• Install or assist in installing new equipment with proper layout and alignment
• Identify and present solutions to control problems and continuous improvement projects
• Minimize downtime by efficiently diagnosing malfunctions
• Perform Roll Grinder duties to support coating quality and production
• Maintain professional communication with plant personnel on repair steps and timelines
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards
• Participate in cross-functional maintenance training
