Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Aiken, SC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Crafts team. You will perform preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance on a variety of equipment, troubleshoot PLC controlled systems, and implement root-cause corrective actions.

The role requires reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and operating manuals, plus fabrication and alterations of electrical components.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and trade school training.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and schematics.
• Capability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Experience reading and programming PLCs.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, reactive and predictive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
• Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment including PLCs.
• Read, interpret and program PLC controllers and languages.
• Determine root cause of failures and develop preventive measures.
• Perform electrical/mechanical fabrication and alterations.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions using manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Inspect, operate or test machinery to diagnose issues.
• Use hand tools to precision measuring instruments for assembly and repair.
• Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids and replace filters as needed.
• Perform plant-wide preventative maintenance.
• Open/close plant duties including equipment start-up.
• Operate fork truck/tow motor, hoists, scissors lifts and overhead cranes.
