Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help ensure a safe, healthy work environment and timely repair or replacement of equipment to optimize production output.

On a day-to-day basis you will perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance, read blueprints, and determine repair needs. You will refurbish equipment, monitor safety standards, operate a forklift, and coach junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years' experience in general electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Four (4) years' experience in industrial maintenance.
• Two (2) years' experience in hydraulics.
• Must have and/or be able to obtain fork truck certification.
• Must be able to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic prints and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventative maintenance on electrical fixtures, machines, equipment, hydraulic equipment, and building.
• Perform general grounds and building maintenance.
• Work from electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical blueprints.
• Determine need for repair or replacements of equipment, etc.
• Refurbish and/or rebuild equipment as necessary.
• Monitor and/or test equipment to ensure safety and codes compliance.
• Ensure equipment safeguards and protective devices are operational at all times.
• Construct and maintain fixtures, units, and sections.
• Request needed supplies for building and equipment maintenance.
• Operate fork truck as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Instruct lesser skilled employees in the maintenance department.
