Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure NFPA 70B and NETA compliance while maintaining reliability and safety of facility electrical infrastructure.

The role supports uptime by servicing power distribution equipment, motors, and controls, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Ideally 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution.
• Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with standards.
• Proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and reports.
• Knowledge of arc-flash safety, NEC rules, and OSHA/NFPA safety.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and heat signatures.
• Inspect wiring and components for wear, contamination, or damage.
• Service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls.
• Document inspections, test results, and corrective actions clearly.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash.
• Support EHS initiatives and promote safe work practices.
• Communicate status and issues with customers and team members.
