Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking an Associate Construction Project Manager to assist in managing industrial electrical & inside wiring projects on a nationwide, project-based basis. The role requires travel for long-term onsite assignments and carries full-time employment.

You will support project management processes, coordinate with field teams and subcontractors, and help track budgets, schedules, and performance metrics while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (construction, industrial, or electrical preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel nationwide and commit to long-term onsite projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (experience with construction/project software is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental policies.
• Assist Project Manager(s) in managing projects under direct supervision.
• Support development and tracking of project performance metrics, budgets, and cost controls.
• Assist with cost tracking, labor tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
• Coordinate with field supervision, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and clients.
• Support material procurement, submittals, and equipment tracking.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and contract compliance.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including billing, cost reporting, and scheduling records.
• Support federal/state reporting and project correspondence as required.
• Participate in construction meetings and contribute to project coordination.
• Assist with proposals, estimates, and quantity take-offs.
• Provide onsite administrative and project support for long-term assignments.
• Assist with change management, productivity tracking, and project closeout activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
