Job summary

Prime Controls seeks a Project Engineer to design control system details, instrumentation configuration, and prepare for implementation through testing and documentation.

You will lead projects, coordinate with installers and customers, develop BOMs/IO lists, and troubleshoot startup issues related to drawings and instrumentation. Strong PLC programming and Allen‑Bradley experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years of industrial controls experience in control system engineering, electrical and instrumentation engineering or construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent industrial controls experience.
• 4 years of PLC programming experience.
• 4 years of experience with Construction Life Safety Systems and/or Hazardous Production Monitoring.
• Proficiency with Allen-Bradley equipment and systems.
• Near-term ability to support up to 50% project-related travel.

Responsibilities

• Design control system details, instrumentation configuration and preparation for implementation.
• Develop BOMs, IO lists and requirements for control panels.
• Lead projects as the technical project lead and coordinate with installers and customers.
• Troubleshoot startup issues related to drawings, instrumentation, or software/hardware interfaces.
• Interface with manufacturers and vendors of hardware and application products.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators and stakeholders to manage schedules and resources.
