Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. seeks a Controls Engineer to create and modify Allen Bradley PLC programs, design and implement new control systems, and manage the controls engineering scope for diverse projects.

You will work with external system integrators to deliver fully integrated process equipment systems, participate in all project phases, and ensure safe, reliable operation of automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with controls aptitude.
• Ability to debug and monitor PLC code - ladder logic.
• Strong electrical aptitude and understanding of AC/DC theory.
• Identify and correct potential safety or environmental issues.
• Generate and interpret electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with ANSI, NFPA, NEC codes.
• Lead or participate in project teams and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify Allen Bradley PLC programs for the fiber optic cable production plant.
• Design and implement new control systems projects.
• Manage the controls engineering scope of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation projects.
• Implement robust, cost-effective automation and process machine control systems.
• Interface with external system integrators to deliver integrated process equipment systems.
• Participate in all project phases from design to testing and startup.
• Independently follow equipment construction in vendors' facilities.
