Job summary
Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Automation Specialist I to assist with system integration projects. You will identify parts for PLCs, networks, computers, and software, program PLCs and HMIs, and test functionality.
You will troubleshoot during start-up, develop required documentation, and train customers on client-specific software. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years of AEC industry experience, with opportunities to advance into more complex control systems
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in AEC or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, CE, EE, or related field (or technical college equivalent).
- Experience in system integration, PLC/HMI programming, and start-up testing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify components for PLC, network, computer, and software.
- Program PLCs and HMIs.
- Test functionality of programs and equipment.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues during start-up.
- Develop technical documentation and user manuals.
