Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Construction Coordinator & Scheduler to support Asset Integrity program execution for a local client in the Greater Chicago area.

The role focuses on coordinating field activities, scheduling, and coordinating contractors and materials to ensure safe, efficient project delivery. Ideal candidates have industrial construction or maintenance experience and can work under the Construction Manager to maintain schedules, records, and compliant field operations in

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in industrial construction, maintenance, repair, or field coordination.
• Experience with industrial facilities such as power, steel, manufacturing, or chemical industries.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day repair and construction activities and field scheduling.
• Plan field activities, access, logistics, and work sequencing with stakeholders.
• Track progress and communicate schedule impacts to the Construction Manager.
• Support outage, shutdown activities, and field documentation.
• Ensure QA/QC documentation and safety procedures are followed.
