Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks a Construction Coordinator & Scheduler to support Asset Integrity program execution for a Detroit, MI client.

This role coordinates field repair and construction activities, schedules labor, equipment, and materials, and ensures safe, compliant project delivery under the Construction Manager’s guidance. Ideal candidates have industrial construction or maintenance experience and are prepared to take on leadership responsibilities within a programmatic Asset

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in construction/engineering field.
• 3–5 years in industrial construction, maintenance, or field coordination.
• Experience with industrial facilities such as power generation, steel, manufacturing, or petrochemical sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and repair sketches.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating contractors, crews, materials, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day repair and construction activities.
• Plan field activities, scheduling, logistics, and work sequencing.
• Coordinate daily communication between contractors, inspectors, client personnel, and Orbital project teams.
• Track project progress and communicate field updates, issues, and schedule impacts to the Construction Manager.
• Support outage and shutdown activities as required.
• Assist in developing repair work packages and field changes.
